The Club is heading for the boats again! Our annual tour of the Saanich Peninsula, Salt Spring Island, and the Cowichan Valley is appropriate for all speeds and abilities and takes in quiet roads, great food stops, and gorgeous views.
We will roll out in staggered groups (with the slowest taking the first pull) from Cook Street Starbucks at 7:00am, catching the 9:00am ferry to Salt Spring Island. A designated ride leader for each peloton will purchase the ferry tickets for their entire group and the Club will reimburse them.
This ride is intended to be unsupported, with a stop in Ganges Village for a bite to eat and coffee before rolling out and onto the Vesuvius ferry to Crofton. Please bring any other snacks that you need for the day.
The Vesuvius ferry is at 12:05pm and the Mill Bay sailings to Brentwood Bay are at 3:00pm (or 4:10pm depending on how many ice cream stops your group elects to make). Tickets for the Mill Bay ferry can be purchased at Thrifty Foods in Mill Bay or onboard the ferry (by the designated ride leader for each peloton).
If you haven't done this ride before and you're curious, here's a video from our 2021 Three Ferries Ride: 2021 Tripleshot Three Ferries Ride

I recall doing 3F a few years ago in a group with Claire Townsend, where we went clockwise. I think I had to turn back in Crofton, so I can't comment on the whole ride, but Claire might recall. Searching old forum posts might turn something up too. Martin
