Hi all, I was excited to see the 2:30pm ride listed then sad face when I saw it was for the A groups and a B1 (I just joined so would like to join a ride soon to find out my pace). Anyhow, I do have to ask… are there any riders who want a later ride start? I care for kids and dogs and I think the early start favours a certain demographic that is not mine and wondered if anyone else was in my boat? 9am onward would be ideal and I am good right up until sunset. Research shows that sleep is the most important health determinant and I just do not want to be at odds with having to stay up till teens arrive home safely only to get 5 hours of sleep for a ride. If anyone else wants a later ride, how does it work? DM each other to plan? Or find out how to become a ride leader so we can post our own later rides? I notice the mountain bike folk seem to have later ride starts but alas I am a roadie. Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Hmmmm I can’t seem to find a way to DM you other than public comment so I will email you.
Thanks! That sounds like a good option as I would like to do a 30-45 km ride first then a 45-55 km one and then feel dusted off for the 67km one on Sunday social if I can make it and if there aren’t my longer later rides yet. For the TdV 100km, I did 22km/h including breaks and I did 25km/h on my last ride out and I think that places me in C group? Tho I would like to see if I am in the bottom B group (because those estimates are from just using my phone on Strava as I don’t want a bike computer.) I will DM you my cell. What Moka house are you talking about? The cook street one? Or the one in Caddy bay?
If you are a C or B3 rider, our elder, Mark Ford and I often ride at about 9.30 on a Sunday.
We will sometimes start about 8 and meet the group at Matticks.
Sometimes a slower person will join us.
Tomorrow we are meeting at Moka at 9.30 for coffee and leaving about 10a.m. for 30km.
As the weather gets better and lighter earlier, on some Tuesday's and Friday's we will go to Moka at 7.30, have club coffee and start riding by 9 a.m.
Of course we have a mid coffee stop and sometimes a coffee stop after.
We are a coffee club with a riding problem!
You, or anyone else that is interested please D.M. me on Spond or
